Privacy Policy
How tropictax collects, uses, and stores your personal data.
Subject to change — last updated 2026-06-11.
This Privacy Policy explains how tropictax ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through the calculator at tropictax.com. By using the site you agree to this policy.
What we collect
When you use the calculator and submit a lead form, we may collect:
- Contact data — name and email address you provide.
- Calculator inputs — the numeric values you enter (salary, distribution, capital gains, current state, etc.). These are hypothetical scenarios you choose to share; we do not ask for account, SSN, or banking details.
- Marketing attribution — UTM parameters (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_content,utm_term) appended to inbound links. - Technical metadata — IP address, user-agent string, and the timestamp of your visit, captured by standard web-server logs.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
How we store it
Submitted leads are written to a CSV file on the application server and, optionally, forwarded to a single outbound webhook (e.g. a CRM or spreadsheet integration). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with ad networks or third-party data brokers.
Server logs containing IP and user-agent are retained for normal operational windows (typically 30 days) and then rotated out.
Who has access
Access is limited to:
- The site operator (matt@allez.xyz).
- A designated CPA partner who may receive high-tier leads that opt in to be contacted about Act 60 planning. We only forward what the lead explicitly submitted.
Cloud-infrastructure providers process the data as a matter of running the service (hosting, DNS, email delivery). They are bound by their own terms.
How to request deletion
Email matt@allez.xyz from the address on file and ask for deletion. We honor reasonable deletion and access requests, typically within a few business days. We are not making explicit GDPR or CCPA compliance promises, but we will respond in good faith to any verifiable request.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses Plausible, a cookieless, privacy-focused analytics service, for aggregate traffic measurement. It does not set cookies or track you across sites. You can block it with any standard ad/tracker blocker; the calculator functions without it.
Changes
This policy may change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on the homepage or via email if we have one for you.
